Recorded in 2007 this was actually my first festive video recording and being scottish I just had to play my own arrangement of 'Auld Lang Syne'.
The majority of this was improvised, 'Auld Lang Syne' is such a well known melody that once I had it quickly mapped out in my head and under my fingers I just hit record on the video camera.
I recorded this with my old Ibanez JEM 7VSBL running in a Carvin Legacy amp which was all captured by the onboard microphone on the video camera.
For the re-mix I wanted to remove the 'recorded in a room' sound so dug up the old backing track I had used. FYI The backing track was a freebie from Line6, who had released a festive backing track pack just when I was wondering what song to record :).
I added the backing to its own track then EQ'd the video camera audio and applied some delay and reverb to try and tart up the lead guitar.
